gone are the days
Wow these were such enjoyable shows. I loved that around this time period the cheese played these off the beaten path places that often didn't even have live music. Devils Head was like someone had brought the cheese in to play in their backyard- there couldn't have been more than a couple thousand people there, if that. The Mrs Brown's from this show is one of my absolute favorites- its exactly the type of jam that I just loved from the cheese- Nerhsi doing side to sides pickin out a groove with Kang soaring over the top- just a great Mrs. Brown's. The missing me is typical from 2000 where it seems like Kang is holding back compared to 99 versions. Under African>Lands End>Restless Wind is excellent. Worth downloading just for Mrs. Browns

My cherry popped
This weekend at Devil's Head was my first real experience with a camping festival, and Cheese did a phenomenal job of introducing me. Both nights are good, and the late night campground set is on the archive as well. Sound of the recording is nice, straight from the board. End of set 1, MLT, Sweet > Remington is on point. Set 2 has a nice Howard, and Kyle is finally turned loose on Chameleon. Man do I miss the days when you could catch the boys up close and personal like this.
